William L. Pope

Firm Partner

Judge Pope joined the firm in 1986. He attended the UNT-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and Baylor University School of Law. His area of practice is general civil litigation, including commercial, transactional, healthcare, employment and tax law. He is a member of the American College of Legal Medicine and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Qualified as an Impartial Third Party under § 154.052 of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code to serve as both a general civil and family law mediator, he completed extensive advanced alternative dispute resolution training at the Attorney-Mediators Institute as well as the Worklife Institute, both in Houston, Texas.

Serving for over thirty years as a municipal court judge and state magistrate in multiple jurisdictions, Judge Pope was honored with a resolution by the Texas House of Representatives citing his many years of support to the Texas judiciary.
